I totally concur with your statement: “the SEO team and the PPC team have started to meet regularly, share reports regularly, and it’s already helped immensely”. It is so important to tightly weave all efforts, especially when using a profit-driven model.

I have wondered about the default / advanced geographic setting. For some reason, when using the dimensions tab, I end up with very limited results. Could you explain further why you prefer this method over other geo-targeting options in AdWords?
