But I also have a few points regarding it to discuss with you.

Navigation design is one of the most important aspects of any website, and it is essential that it is designed in a way that is both user-friendly and visually appealing. Breadcrumb navigation is a great way to keep your website users on your site and in the loop.

Here are a few tips to make sure your website is easier to navigate:-

1. Include a full navigational path in your breadcrumb navigation
2. Consider which type of breadcrumb navigation makes the most sense for your site
3. Keep it clean and uncluttered

English: I checked with our SEO team to get you some answers. If you have a dedicated mobile version of a website, schematic markup inclusion is vital since specifics such as your site name should be readily identifiable to bots. In this scenario you should implement markup in both the m-dot and web versions ideally, so you have more control over what your result shows, lessen any difference in messaging between your two site versions, and future-proof your desktop site for any similar changes Google might implement in the search results. For any type of mobile configuration, however, structured URLs are recommended to help search engines understand your site structure and what each particular page is about.

To your second question, Google does indicate that the Schema.org markup for breadcrumbs is not yet supported — but will be shortly — and will be the preferred method when it is (see https://developers.google.com/structured-data/breadcrumbs). In fact, Google correctly handles Schema.org’s BreadcrumbList markup using the Structured Data Testing Tool now; it just doesn’t show the enhanced snippet yet, as the data-vocabulary Breadcrumb markup specification does.

Thanks for reading!

I have a question – are this rules for mobile sites only or and for desktop versions too? Now I make mobile site and I will make the first breadcrumb with name of my brand but is this need for desktop version too?
And – how I make my breadcrumbs – with schema.org or data-vocabulary? On desktop site with data-vocabulary I have rich snippet but with schema.org – i haven’t?
Thanks!

Tom, your comment really nails it. “The combination of the right site architecture with schema and breadcrumbs” does lead to clarity for search engine spiders and humans. Couldn’t agree more.

Using breadcrumbs is always a good idea if you are a WordPress user it is built-in to Yoast WordPress SEO and works seamlessly with both StudioPress / Genesis or Woo Themes with other themes you must change some PHP. If you would like to create their own this is a great tool for making schema breadcrumbs http://www.feedthebot.com/tools/richsnippets/breadcrumb/

I strongly believe that a flat architecture
( ideally no more than three clicks deep / from the homepage)
is still very wise because GoogleBot could get hung up on redirect chains and many other structural URI issues. The combination of the right site architecture with schema and breadcrumbs is a synergy in my opinion

I agree this could be the equivalent of cross-linking to make sure Google runs into the least amount of barriers. Structured data is a map that Google can easily follow.

Great write up,
Tom
